Mercedes Soto has been the Executive Chef at Purple Sage Ranch since 2000. Mercedes has a degree in culinary arts, as well as a rich history in cuisine learned while watching and helping her mother prepare meals for the family in Mexico.

Mercedes served as a sous chef at J’Alexanders Restaurant, La Mansion del Rio, and the Marriott Riverwalk, and also helped open the popular Ristorante Paesanos 1604. She has accumulated several certifications through the American Culinary Federation. She is known for specialties such as her barbecue sauce (unique, all her own, and top secret), salsas like her roasted jalapeƱo and tomato, her heavenly homemade white chocolate cheesecake, and her rich homemade vanilla bean ice cream. She wants her customers to know that no menu request is unreasonable or unattainable.

Reinhard Warmuth

Reinhard Warmuth, a three-star Michelin Chef, is classically trained with true international experience. He has been in kitchens from Maxim’s in Paris to the Hotel de Paris in Monaco. A native of Hamburg, Germany, Reinhard also served as the Corporate Chef for Quorum Hotels at the DFW Lakes Hilton Executive Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas.

He uses only fresh, local ingredients whenever possible, and makes all his stocks and sauces from scratch, an art that is rare these days. He keeps up with new food trends on a daily basis, so he and the culinary team can do just about anything you like and do it extremely well.
